Activist investor Carl Icahn completely divested his stake of American International Group Inc. while trimming positions in other companies, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission late Tuesday. Icahn showed no stake in AIG for the past quarter, according to the most recent filing, after reporting a more than 40-million-share stake in the prior quarter. The filing also showed Icahn had sold off his nearly 8-million-share stake of PayPal Holdings Inc. . Icahn’s stake in companies such as Herbalife Nutrition Ltd. and Hertz Global Holdings Inc. remained unchanged. Icahn also trimmed his stake in shares of Freeport-McMoRan Inc. and Xerox Corp. .
