  1. The Prime Minister of Australia is an ex-Goldman Sachs partner. He's not that bad…

  2. Styxhexenhammer666: You are doing yourself a strong disservice. Mnuchin is a real last name, albeit, not as common. The name is of strong Ashkenazi jewish ancestry. He himself is Jewish in faith, to what degree, I have no idea. Regarding what you said about Goldman Sachs there at the end, and no one who worked there should be allowed into official government positions, FYI, Steve Bannon was also at Sachs, for quite some time. He left Sachs to start his own investment firm, and definitely pissed in the same stall at Mnuchin.

I do like that you give him the benefit of any doubt, and I can also see where the hesitation to trust comes from. In my opinion, realistically, anyone who heads up the treasury of the US will need to be super connected, and the connected people worked at these places. His father, Robert Mnuchin worked at Sachs as well, so this guy has history. Honestly, what I look for in any of the cabinet hires is this, are they going to listen to Trump, and do things exactly how he says. Or are they going to read the sheet music, say yes sir, and then go and play it their own way. The other thing I am looking at is this, will the person have experience to bring to the table. I think with both Bannon and Mnuchin, again, who both spent a considerable time at GS, each bring a ton of valuable experience, wisdom, insight and connections. And from what I am hearing so far, Mnuchin was not who the majority of the Wall Street club would have wanted. He is non partisan, and he has been out of Wall Street for quite some time. There were a few other names that the banks passed on to Trump to consider, and Mnuchin was not on the list. To me that is a good sign.

You are doing well pal. Keep it up, keep researching your talking points before your shows. You are going to break 100,000 before too long. I have been watching you for quite some time, and it is nice to see that other than the CHIPS shades, you are holding true to who you are. I have watched a lot of the other independent internet news reporters, and in my opinion, the attention, (it is not even fame), they have received has effected their minds and hearts. Once that happens, as you know, judgement is effected, and access to wisdom is prevented. Listening to them now is almost difficult.

Alright Styxhexenhammer666, Chat at you later.

  20. The Sarah Palin pick has me worried. Such a crazy bitch. Everything that comes out of her mouth is word salad. If you ask me shes the reason McCain lost to Obama. Still if I had to choose between Palin and Clinton, I would cringingly pick Palin.

  28. Hey Styx, "waging a few less wars" is a great way to offset the tax cuts. But they won't do that. They'll just make up for the loss of revenue by creating more fiat money (which devalues the dollar, thus reducing our purchasing power) and putting the additional debt on the backs of generations to come. In fact, the cost of our wars isn't even included in the defense budget!

As for Petraeus, read "CIA Chief: We’ll Spy on You Through Your Dishwasher" at Wired dot com about how, while he was Director of CIA, he looked forward to being able to constantly monitor any of us through all the devices in the future "smart home". That's not exactly a libertarian dream.

  32. i am not sure Mnuchin or the other Goldmann Sachs related figures (such Bannon) on trumps team have broken with their past – it appears that Goldmann Sachs stocks have taken a massive jump up since trump starting putting these guys into his team, so Goldmann Sachs seems pretty happy with whats going on
